Excerpt from my Media Strategy

“Opening my own ice cream shop is a very exciting step in my life, but I know there will be a lot of struggles before I can call it a success.  To start off, money is of course an issue.  In this day and age, when is it not though?  People say to never let money be a problem to follow your dreams, but one can only do that through good planning and smart decisions.  Before my Grand Opening Day, I need to promote my ice cream shop as much as possible to get the word out to the community so I will have people to serve on top of a start to a possible flow of income.  I feel it is very important to establish customer relationships so that they feel like guests in my establishment.  When you host someone in your home, you want them to feel comfortable and have a good time so they want to come back over again, and I feel that is the way a business should be run.  This establishes a regular flow of customers, which provides me with steady income.  In order to keep people coming back, I hope to provide the community with a fun loving and relaxing environment inviting to people of all ages in a convenient location.  I need to introduce new original flavors at affordable prices to keep the people guessing, “What should I try this time?”  In order to be successful, I need to please the public, but also please myself by running a shop that I would want to enter as a customer myself. I feel that I can appeal to most in the community as long as I keep a positive attitude and atmosphere as well as an open mind to new forms of marketing and through the help of others.”
